General Observations of iSc Rigging:

  • Jib Sheet Arrangements (some with vernier, some without)
  • Jib Boom
  • No Boom Vang! (I think there is a ref. in Sailing Craft (sail aero) regarding vangs.)

Design Changes In The Class:

  • 1926-1927 Ballast and Sailplan Change
  • 1934 "Luders-Proposed" Standing Rigging Change (included elimination of running backstay, not all in class participated)
  • ?Spinnaker-related change?

Miscillaneous Construction Modifications:

  • Corner reinforcements under deck by chainplates?
  • Vernier winches (BOSTON "DB 1400") -- not clear if orig. equipment
  • Deck hatch on Caprice
  • Hull/deck fiberglassing
